On the next evening with lanterns in hand,

from opposite sides of the circle again

The wee one his chariot stuck in the mud,
the great one his chariot plowed through the flood
We danced around naked and saw what we’d wrought,
gave thanks for the fires on Wal-purg-is-nacht (Ch)

3. Well our cer-e-mony it was planned for nightfall,
yes it will be splendid, come one and come all!
We’ll garland the bowers, make love in the springs,
alas, by night, only more rain could we bring

We battled and wrestled the Hammer of Thor
then gathered together, made music once more
Gave in till the clouds parted ceasing our fight,
